Training the Mind

Several are the tracks of thought
that run on scattered in the mind
If the taken one is the one that was sought
can success be far behind?

Early on one fixes the goal
and takes the train going there
but the changer of tracks is the soul
and he takes the train where he cares

O train thy mind O soul
for if you travel down the wrong path
the farther away will be the goal
and costly the aftermath

To go to your goal very fast
take the rails going there
Then be on thy track steadfast
though events may try to ensnare

If you had changed your road by your whims
you may yet succeed for sure
Though success at times seems a dream
