Memo to the Self

DO NOT PRETEND.

It is obvious to one and all... Truth does not stay hidden... and why bother hiding it?

Toning down the bads, bumping up the goods, highlighting the nice aspects, justifying the mistakes, impressing others, exaggerations and understatements... uhhh.

Pretense is so dangerous... to the self really, more than to anyone else. It is so utterly foolish... and so subtle.

It stems from a desire to be appreciated... from a lack of self respect.

What a sorry state of being.

Trusteeship

Trustee is usually considered to be one who holds others' money/possessions with oneself... in trust, without misusing it.

But there is a nice positive, insightful definition...

"Trustee is one who hands over all belongings to God"

And since God doesn't really take away anything, it remains with the same person... in trust... in a real lasting way. And can one ever misuse a resource that belongs to God?

Actually such misuse does happen... and its probably a sign of how dull the intellect is... and how poor the recognition of God...
